Among the important tasks for Practical Supervisor are, to make sure that the quality of the daily scientific work done by the student is good and that the project is well coordinated and facilitated. Therefore, it becomes important for you to know about constructive feedback, communication, and motivation. Furthermore, the coordination is not just between you and the student but involves also the Main Supervisor, so it is important to understand and define the roles and responsibilities of the participants.

This course aims at developing skills that will:

  • give you the basic understanding of the frame, purpose, objectives, structure and tasks concerning the practical supervision of master/bachelor students in lab
  • Be able to initiate new supervisory programs in the best way
  • Strengthen his/hers preconditions as teachers and ‘boss’
  • Facilitating learning processes

Participants must expect to be involved during the course. The course just doesn’t talk about expectation, learning, motivation, communication and feedback. It emphasizes practicing all those elements. The purpose is to give participants actual experiences.
