PhD training is multifaceted. While all PhD training inherently should be solidly rooted in a strong research project operating at an international level, it is important to prepare the PhD students for a wide spectrum of career opportunities. This can be achieved through training in a broad set of skills that widen their career perspectives, enables them to describe and build their personal competences and to make deliberate and informed career decisions.
PCAP has defined a set of training skill sets (TSs) covering central capabilities of importance for the efficient conductance of the PhD research project and for active career development. The PCAP programme focuses on six key training skill sets, transferable skill 1-6.
